Review on Portta Extender Single Ethernet Transmission by Greg Mahoney

I used them to connect my closet security cameras to my living room TV. I accidentally bought two of these but they worked fine for a while. We've had storms that cut the power for hours and after turning it back on the camera feed to the TV (through those devices) stopped working. I did the troubleshooting by connecting the power supplies that came with the spare blocks and the spare blocks themselves, but I don't remember which one was bad (it was last summer). I think I swapped the sending and receiving devices just to be sure. Fast forward to last September when Irma arrived and when the power was turned back on, the power was off again. Bottom line, these things don't take power outages. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the spatter that killed her (nothing went wrong back then). They worked decently to death, although the dark areas on the screen looked blurry. I think I would try a different brand if I decide to retune the channel.
