Review on ๐Ÿฑ Spacious Multi-Level Cat Tree: Large Cat Tower with Enhanced Hammock, 3 Comfortable Perches, Scratching Posts, Stable for Kittens and Big Cats by Stephanie Armijo

Revainrating 2 out of 5

At first I liked this product. ONE WEEK LATER. Not as much.

Before I write this review I would like to say first that I wanted to contact the company directly to give them a chance to reply before the public review but it is impossible to email address or web address, page on facebook etc so I have to do it here. I raised and then adopted 3 cats who didn't get a good start in life so I wanted to make their new life the best. I researched scratching posts and read reviews to find a really good scratching post. Basically all scratching posts have both negative and rave reviews so this is basically a shot in the blue but I went with this Hey Brother scratching post and was very hopeful. I assembled it and was very happy with the final setup. I've been using it for ONE WEEK and cats mainly use it to sleep. They don't play it, which is fine because I just wanted something for them to climb on if they wanted to. Today, after just ONE WEEK of use, I noticed a large tear in the seam of one of the supports. (see photo) The breaking point isn't really in an area where you might see a lot of 'cat action' and IT'S ONLY ONE WEEK. This scratching post is not cheap. It cost $99 (let's be honest, it was $100) and I couldn't afford it right now if it wasn't for a Revain gift card from my sister for my birthday. I could use the gift card for many things I needed, but I wanted to give these three wonderful cats the life they were denied. I'm so disappointed and this company doesn't seem to care. This is not normal with scratching posts. Four years ago I bought a Go Pet Club type scratching post which has seen a lot of mischief from kittens and cats. It hasn't been damaged in any way (which I honestly expected). There are a few things that are annoying about this situation. Firstly, I couldn't find a way to contact the company directly, which I find questionable. Secondly, once assembled you obviously can't disassemble, pack and ship it back to Revain so basically you have to live with a poor quality product. Obviously this is low quality work and the company does not intend to take any responsibility for their product. We can only write reviews of Revain and hope to persuade others to give up this article. My only option is to sew up this rip and I'm sure all the other rips will do the same. Companies need to be held accountable for their product. They have my money and I have their shoddy goods. The only thing I can do is to write a review and warn others about this company. Shame about hey brother.
