I have an older dog that is beginning to lose weight (she is too skinny) and I wanted her to have a good pillow instead of being on the floor all the time. It took her a few days to get close to it, but now she puts it on for her sleep and sleeps there if she doesn't get too hot when she returns to the cool floor. I had to wash the cover a few times and it did a good job and still fits the pillow perfectly. I've tried different types of dog beds, from sling to more traditional padded ones, and this is the only dog bed she likes.
