Unreliable connectors are the best in computer accessories and peripherals

The adapter looks good and appears to be well assembled, but the connectors are not stable. I received this mainly for uploading photos/videos from SD cards to my MacBook Air. When inserting SD cards into the adapter, there is about a 25% chance that the card will actually show up in my finder. Similarly, I have a Bluetooth mouse connected via USB that has worked on other computers, but does not work when connected to this adapter. The power connection works, haven't had a chance to try HDMI or Micro SD yet. Not sure if mine is just defective but overall it's a disappointment.
