Review on Tripp Lite TLP1208SAT Surge Protector Power Strip: 12 Outlets, 8ft Cord, RJ11/RJ45/Coax/Ethernet Protection, $250K Insurance - Black by Isaac Maze

Revainrating 5 out of 5

REALLY GOOD FIRE PROTECTION FOR FIOS INTERNET ROUTER, TV ETC.

UPDATE: ONE of these works pretty well, ANOTHER, HOOT! Only three out of eight points work. In the other five, I can't include anything in five of them! You need a sledgehammer! My fiancee is a BIG guy and he couldn't get a simple 2 prong lamp plug to plug into another outlet! Send back! Excellent surge protection. I just received and installed them but they seem to be of good quality. Verizon totally screwed up my Fios install (shock). Your technician didn't know what he was doing (shock again). My outlet wasn't properly grounded and only accepted two-pronged plugs. Nimrod cut the grounding plug off a cheap, unnamed power strip, plugged it in, and attached a HUGE backup battery plug to it. Over time we had a few power cuts (almost weekly) and the band started making strange noises. That's when I noticed the lights on the backup battery didn't say "grounded" or "protected" and bought a Tripp Lite to see if they worked better. I had to buy a small gray GFCI adapter and screw it into an outlet to ground that outlet and accept three prong plugs, but it worked and Tripp Lite says "grounded and protected". I feel much safer with it than with a Verizon POS rigged and left to me. It also has input jacks for phone lines and TV connections.

Pros
