I had the same installation issue as the previous commenter even though my bike is a 2014 Road King. The fit and finish is very good, the chrome looks great and once installed it's very solid, in that regard these armrests are great and ease of use is something that falls short. I set the armrests fairly low on the safety bar to use them as footrests to stretch my legs on a long ride. The problem is that on the right side, a pin on the end of the lever pushes the brake pedal into a vertical position, which I thought was dangerous. I was able to find the perfect spot for my feet to be comfortable without having to lock my knees, but only when the pin was down when the pin was raised vertically was it right next to the brake pedal. I practiced putting my foot on the brake pedal quickly, as I would in an emergency, and almost every time my boot either hit the footboard or my boot was half on the footpeg, half on the brake pedal. I also tried installing the lever. higher on the emergency bar, which messed with my balance point and made my overall stance uncomfortable, as well as dozens of fine adjustments on each axis to find a middle ground where the footpeg was accessible in a horizontal position, but didn't pinch the brake. pedal in vertical position; no joy, only there was no place where my foot was firmly on the footboard and didn't get in the way of the pedal. My general conclusion is that leaving the footrest horizontal all the time wouldn't be a problem, but when it's up it interferes with proper use of the footbrake and I wasn't planning on constantly extending the pin, hence the Installation a big problem for me. I like the shape and look of the hand itself, it's high quality, but the tightness made this device unacceptable.
