I have a few support tickets with Filmtacy and will update this review if any of the issues are fixed. Social Networks and Email. There is no support on their website. All requests were ignored. 2. Continuation: A few more weeks. No replies to emails or social media. Their website states that the support comes from Zhiyun, but Zhiyun refuses to support it, simply stating that it is not their product. Only buy this if you are happy with a discontinued product with no support. Too bad. The suspension itself is great. But what forced FILMTACY Zhiyun to remove it to reduce costs harmed the device. First Review: The gimbal is essentially a redesigned Weebil S. It's made by Zhiyun and includes a Zhiyun body, batteries, and a tripod. Part of the marketing is that it's made by Zhiyun and maintained by Zhiyun β it even uses the Zhiyun app. Except it's not supported by Zhiyun - I tried. The included instructions are secondary - you'll be prompted to use the Zhiyun app to connect to the gimbal and find the C1 - unless it's not in the app. I looked for Bluetooth connections and found a listing for Weebil-S so I connected to that. It worked. I had to update the firmware immediately and then update again on the next connection. So while I'm in the application, almost nothing works. I cannot control camera functions even though my camera is on the list of supported cameras (Canon 5D3). All I can do is use the remote control joystick - and it's terrible. Move in any direction and it will briefly move in the opposite direction at first. The only thing that really works is the gimbal's basic functions, such as: B. changing the movement speed. Time-lapse, panorama, etc. - nothing works. I can't turn on the camera, focus, or record a video. The app doesn't spin at all. It has to be in portrait mode - this is a big problem for me. I have several compatible mounts. None works in portrait mode. I have a few that can turn the phone upside down, but since the app doesn't rotate, they don't work either. So the app has 0 stars. Stabilizer - well, that's great. The camera can withstand the weight without any problems. Light and fast balanced and has excellent build quality. Powered by dual 18650 batteries Charger included - Batteries cannot be charged inside the gimbal. The accessory mount is the same as the Crane 3 and Weebill Lab. The display is clear and easy to read, and there are plenty of controls - unfortunately, most of these are for camera controls, so don't do anything. The instructions are minimal and do not cover 90% of the gimbal or camera connection. I found a manual for Weebil S online and followed it. This is where things got weird. I connected the USB cable between the camera and the stabilizer. Then I found the camera manufacturer selection feature. It supposedly checks the camera and checks the connection. Only the connection is checked, even if the camera is not connected. Even if you choose the wrong camera brand or don't connect the cable. The gimbal should control the camera shutter so you can record videos or photos (e.g. when taking automatic panoramas) - but it doesn't. There is no troubleshooting help.
