Easy to assemble but slow and easy to grind - great product

This product is for the feral cat that feeds my family. Winter is coming here in North Carolina and I wanted to get some shelter. Last year I built one of these cat shelters out of a plastic bag that you line with insulation. It didn't work because I bought the wrong bag which allowed rainwater to come in from above. You can build a good cat shelter this way, but you have to think carefully about everything. I like this shelter I bought here; It's easy to assemble and strong enough to last a while. Of course you can't drop it or sit on it; the wood is thin and is only meant to keep the cat warm. Take your time tightening the loops, two small ones for the top and one larger one holding the top open. You will receive very little instruction on how to do this, in fact none at all. So use logic for these two types of loops. Centering for installing two small hinges at the top can be easily done by placing the bottom on the floor and the rest of the device on top (reverse situation). You can center the top by simply looking inward at the white top left and right as shown below and making sure those white stripes on the top are the same size. Adjust them so that they are the same size. This will center it and you can mark the two back loops while the device is in that position. I had no issues with the one-piece hinge holding the lid open. I suspect people complaining about this later hinge don't understand how it fits. It fits well. Just remember that the two pieces of metal at the ends rotate 360 degrees. The screws for both of these types of hinges are tiny and I had to take my time. Update: the wild cat we care for accepted this immediately. We have some old towels in there and he has been manipulating the ones around him. I'll probably cover the door a bit with some insulation and uncover part of the floor. A simple insulation, similar to foam. I would insulate other interior walls but not in this small house. But the floor is needed. This is a very light wood, it has vents etc.
