I bought this as a headphone extension cable because the computer connection was too far from my chair. It worked well for a little over a month, after which I noticed I couldn't hear with one ear. I wiggled the cord a little and started hearing again. It got worse later, I couldn't hear anything unless I held the computer end of the cable a certain way and moved it around. I verified that it was the cable by plugging the headphones directly into my computer and there was no problem. This cable is now unusable after just over a month of use with no abuse or signs of it.
