It came in nice packaging and was wrapped in plastic to protect the metal. The chain that came with the necklace was long and seemed strong. I replaced it and turned it into a keychain because I don't usually wear necklaces. But I can only recommend it because my stepdad loved it. It was nicely packaged and delivered.
