The original Water Pic wand had a selectable slide button to turn the wand on and off. This wand has a spring-loaded button that is normally open (on) and you press it to turn it off. This is the opposite of how you want the button to work, because if you put the wand back on the pump, or turn the pump on before you pick up the wand, you don't want the wand to leak and splash water on you. Later: After using this device, after adapting it to the new design, I found it to be quite good, so I changed my rating to 4 stars.
