Working from home and wanting to work from more than one place from home has presented me with some unique challenges. It's difficult to do most of what I need with just one screen, but when I'm not at my desktop it's a bit difficult to have multiple screens. So I finally decided it was time to buy one of these displays, and here are a few reasons I was drawn to ViewSonic: First, I'm a fan of their products. ViewSonic have been around for years and I've used their monitors sporadically over the years so I was expecting something with fairly good build and image quality. The display did not disappoint in these points. The stand is thought out to the smallest detail, which allows you to use the monitor both horizontally and vertically. Overall, the monitor's design makes a solid impression and the thin bezels are nice. Luckily, as is usual with them, the thicker bezel is on the bottom, which keeps the display level with my laptop screen. One of the things I love about this line of competing products is the subtle branding on the front. Bright, shiny, or chrome logos are just annoying in my opinion (coincidentally, the ViewSonic monitors I have on my WFH station have a dark matte gray logo on a black border *kiss the chef*). The controls are simple and the user interface isn't too different from my other ViewSonic displays. Along with a durable lid, it's easy to pack and protect. I wouldn't subject it to abuse as it's still a fairly open screen, even with the lid on. The lid has a softer or more comfortable feel but is more durable, however it also makes a great pad to place under the monitor during use to keep it in place and prevent the case from being damaged by You used desk scratched . it's on. The threat of scuffs or scratch marks is worth calling here. The metal stand looks like it will pierce a table or other surface fairly easily, so using a lid as a base is a good idea if you want to prevent this. You pay more for the ViewSonic brand but also get the 3 year warranty and hopefully the reliability I would normally expect from ViewSonic. The display comes with everything you need: a set of USB cables, a microfiber cloth, and a power adapter that allows it to conveniently deliver up to 60W of power to any device. the device you connect to it. The picture quality is perfect for the app. It matches a decent IPS laptop screen, but doesn't quite match the best in terms of color and doesn't offer 4K (which I still find unnecessary in a display of this size). For such a price I didn't expect more, so no disappointments.
