Review on ViewSonic Ergonomic Integrate VDisplyManager DisplayPort 24" - 24" ViewSonic Ergonomic Integrate VDisplyManager DisplayPort Monitor with 1920X1080P, 60Hz, ‎VG2440, HD, IPS by Andrew White

My poor rating for this monitor is mainly due to poor (nonexistent?) support. I bought this monitor because it has built-in stereo speakers and because its position can be adjusted in many ways, making it an ergonomic choice. Now that I have it I'm very happy in every way EXCEPT one, but that's very important. I cannot adjust the monitor using the front panel buttons. This is very frustrating as the volume is too low to hear well so the speakers are of little use to me. I can't adjust the brightness or anything like that either. Of course, I should be able to make these adjustments using the front panel buttons, but they don't work intuitively for me to navigate the menus. Now you think there is a way to learn how to work with these buttons, but you are wrong. Why? (1) I can't view the user manual and installation software CD because I have a Macbook Pro that doesn't have a CD port. (2) The paper manual that came with the monitor does not explain how to use the buttons to navigate through the menus. (3) The ViewSonic website support section does not contain instructions for the Viewsonic VG2239SMH monitor that describe how to use the front panel buttons. (4) Customer service representatives do not answer calls. Yesterday I was on hold for more than 2 hours but I couldn't reach a live person. The same applies to waiting half an hour the day before. The recording gave me an opportunity to leave a written message on their website, which I did 2 or 3 days ago, but no one replied. Bow! I will probably return this monitor and switch to another company with better customer service. UPDATE: A few hours after posting this review, I received an email from Viewsonic with a set of instructions on how to adjust volume, brightness, etc. Speaker quality isn't great, but acceptable. I think I will leave this monitor and increase the stars from 2 to 3.
