Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.
After using an iPad 3 for 4.5 years, I made the transition. Although its performance is top notch, the short amount of time it can be used before the battery dies is quite annoying. Apple Pencil = Game-Changer, and I wouldn't consider buying a Pro if it didn't come with it. With the option to attach a keyboard, it appears to be a genuine replacement for an office ultrabook, as its performance should be sufficient for the smooth functioning of animations in Microsoft Office.
- Using the Apple Pencil, the iPad Pro is a fantastic drawing tablet, useful not just for artists but also for the (thankfully still existing) legions of individuals who prefer to write and draw diagrams by hand. In addition, the capacity to make changes to one's notes may more than compensate for any shortcomings in the software. So far, my two favorite apps are Procreate and the unexpectedly useful built-in Notes. The overall dimensions are identical to the original iPad, and the screen is substantially larger than the standard 9.7 inches.
- Unsuccessful solution with a protruding camera; without a cover, the lens will begin to die as soon as you set it down; even if you don't mind scratches on the metal, you need a cover. This eliminates the need for a thicker battery, which would have been a waste of space. The small bezel makes it difficult to grip and flick through with one hand, making it impractical for on-the-go reading.
