Here's a tip for the 4C hair types who spend ridiculous amounts of money on endless hair products that supposedly make hair care easier. Less more! 90% of these products are just marketing gimmicks that allow you to spend money on products the manufacturers know don't work. I have given up store bought shampoos and conditioners. I hated the smells and if you have a sensitive scalp like I do they will only make you itch and flake. I accidentally discovered that this simple bar of soap is great for washing 4c hair. Afterwards my hair is incredibly soft, the curls fall apart and as my hair dries it becomes light and easy to comb. Add some avocado oil (I use Uncle Harry's brand) while it's still wet and nothing else, no conditioner or wasted money on hair products. That's all. Nothing more. It stays soft whether you leave it natural or blow dry/straighten it. The secret is, don't use anything other than these two products.
