This flash is perfect for any high end DSLR (I have a D850) that is a full frame DSLR (D750, D800 etc). It has great light output and I can even use it with a 70-200mm lens and get enough light in a low light room. I was happy that it works with most of my lenses. I usually use my workhorse 28-70mm and 70-200mm 2.8f lenses for various indoor shooting conditions. I also use it for tag/tag flash fill and find it adapts very well. Caveat: Make sure you set MODE to TTL and FP and turn BL (backlight) off, unless there is actual backlight of course. I made that mistake and was actually able to salvage all the photos I took that were a bit underexposed.
