The size is much smaller than the picture.

I thought the styrofoam ball was much bigger but I was wrong. I need this to decorate the farewell party for one of our doctors who is leaving. So I can't return it and I don't have time to shop. The styrofoam ball is very hard and nothing can be pierced into it. Basically, I have to work with what I have.
