Heavy Duty Industrial Pipe
They are strong and can handle a lot of clothing when mounted in a stud. It's just that the pipes are pretty heavy and then add all the weight of the clothes and that has to carry quite a bit of weight. I love the way these iron bars look in my laundry room and they keep all my freshly dried clothes neat and organized.
