Pros: There are several competitors, even one looks and works the same. I chose these because of the Kelvin rating, which unlike the other is a warmer 2700K (Kelvin) than the competition's 3000K, which is the difference between the tone of a real candle and something that looks more like, or almost, traditional LEDs a fluorescent lamp would be irradiated. Note. When I say candles I mean that, but I don't mean just one candle as you can set the brightness to a level that burns about 5 candles (trust me, bright enough)! Use cases: I now have one or more in every hallway and unoccupied bedroom at around 25% power. Behind vases and hall doors with glass panes at 100% power. You need a bright yet warm stylish look with added protection then this is for you. Cons: > I wish the dimmer slider was a stepped "click" slider so I could have quick and easy confidence when trying to calibrate all my halls together :) > I wish it was rectangular instead of one large square to make it look a little less utilitarian and even more elegant than it is. This has the added benefit of hanging no lower (or higher) than the socket itself, allowing it to remain in the socket's box. If I could I would only deduct 0.33% from 1 star for that because I can't. They get a well-deserved 5 stars from me! :D
