Problem 1: The hinge uses nuts which must be held with a wrench when loosening or tightening. This means that once installed, you will never be able to customize them again. And the bottom screw is locked with a loop. Problem 2: If you want to use the center mounting holes, prepare to be disappointed. Problem 3: The locking mechanism has a lot of play and does not hold it firmly to the ceiling. I didn't use the cheap mounting hardware that came with it, opting instead for oversized Spax screws as I was only using the center bracket. I was hoping to turn it to the side and screw in the bottom screw but quickly found it was useless. Instead, I drilled a 5/16" hole so I could thread a screwdriver through the bracket and drive the screw in. The top didn't have any problems, nothing interfered. Phillips and a 10mm jack to keep it from turning. Would have I would have picked a different device if I had known it by looking at it, but it serves my purposes - it hangs a cheap monitor up and to the side until you need it It's decent overall, but if you want a quality mount don't skimp on it , like I did.
