It is worth spending money on cheaper versions of the bobbin stand.
Bought for my sister in law who sews masks. She is a teacher and sews with students so she had experience with this type of spool stand. When I saw a cheaper version of the stand I asked her how that stand was. She told me the cheaper versions tip over easily and are disappointing, but this stand was solid and didn't fall off her. It became easier for me to spend money.
