Review on Outward Creations Flip Mouth Bottles by Chad Chavez

Will not fit Hydrapeak bottles - may fit other Hydro bottles

Update: After further investigation most caps do not fit properly on Hydrapeak brand bottles due to bottle threads. If you are looking for a cap specifically for a Hydrapeak bottle, you will likely need to purchase the cap from the brand's website. Otherwise this cap will most likely fit any other insulated/hydro bottle. It appeared to have a tight spout lid and was fairly cheap compared to most other lids. Unfortunately, the lid didn't fit me; but it might work well for you! I've been looking for a wide mouth flip top in a few different places. I personally don't think it's worth spending more than $3 on a lid, but finding a lid for $3 or less seems impossible. It was the cheapest cap I could find at $4 and I decided to take a chance. The first thing I noticed was how difficult it was to open and close the spout lid. I could imagine it loosening up a bit after a few uses. Although, I will say, there was no leak from the spout. However, the cap did not fit my Hydrapeak bottle. It was difficult to spin due to the thread. When I finally screwed it all the way in, I saw that the cap wasn't long enough and didn't completely cover the neck of the water bottle. I poured some water in and turned it upside down and sure enough it came out. Although the width/circumference of the lid seems accurate. The inside wall length of the lid was not long enough (about 1/2 inch). While the neck of my water bottle is just over 1/2 inch. (See photos for reference) I will be returning this and I think I will spend a little more than I would like on another lid that will hopefully fit better.
