For some reason my Epson XP-610 suddenly decided it didn't want to send scans to my computer over Wi-Fi anymore. It would still print fine, but if I wanted to send the scanned image to my computer, I had to scan it to the "cloud" or scan to an SD card and then transfer it to the computer. I've tried everything I can think of including reinstalling and updating all software. I definitely didn't want to buy another printer for it, so I went looking for a USB cable. When I plugged it in it did its little setup dance and the problem was solved. All that cost me was the price of the cable and using a USB port on the computer. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone having trouble with Wi-Fi connectivity on their Epson printers.
