We've had it for maybe a few months (I think). Still works great and my son loves it. You simply fill it with water (preferably distilled) and dip the fish in it. It comes with a plug to prevent water from leaking or spilling. It also includes an AC adapter so you don't need to use batteries. It's good that it has the ability to use batteries, but I'd prefer to plug it into the mains. Overall very happy with this purchase.
