Unhappy with the default sound of the Rift S and don't want to mess around with on/off headphones? Look no further and buy them now. Installation Tip: Rotate the wheel on the back of the HMD to open it fully, as the further you go, the easier it is to install the headphone mounts. Neither: I removed the AV clip and placed it behind the headphones, then routed the cable through the Velcro (see image). If you don't care how it looks, just put it on the Rift S like that. I took an extra step and taped the wiring and sprayed it with black plasti dip (4/5 coats after 15 mins in black and white coats, let the last coat dry for at least 4 hours). Refer to the illustrations for wiring cleaning tips. I used velcro on the front. If you're a little irritated by the rubbery texture of the headphones on your ears, buy headphone cases.
