Review on Easy KZ ZST Hybrid Banlance Armature With Dynamic In-Ear Earphone 1BA+1DD HiFi Headset (ZST No Mic) by Kadarius Gentry

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Surprisingly good! - and great value for money.

Bought a few different IEMs for less than $50 for guest musicians who don't have them on our worship team. I finally got to the test. They were actually the cheapest of the five different ones I bought but ended up being my favorites. I have yet to test them in combat with live music, but they actually sounded pretty good when testing different sources on Spotify. Good stereo image and detail. No piercing highs, the bass was balanced and present without sounding pompous. They were also very pleasant to hear. Complaints: I hate the cable, it's a bit stiff and bulky. One nice thing about the cable: The 1/8-inch right-angle connector was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. I really wish they would label real L/R headphones accordingly. I finally figured it out and then added a red dot on the right block. Didn't see the instructions on the Revain page until I came back here to check. I wish I had seen this sooner as the printed instructions that came with it were a bit cryptic. Using these ears with the included cable in a dark scene requires a simple hack to quickly determine which is left or right. I even do this on some of my expensive IEMs. You can do any of the following: tie the right side with a knot, use different colored earpads, wrap one of the wires with tape, or just mark one of the ears with a marker. I liked them so much I picked up a pair while listening. For the price, they certainly outweigh their weight. I'm glad KZ is focusing on real-ear technology where it matters most. The replacement material is a simple and inexpensive upgrade that really makes them shine. The drawer was already full of Comply and we replaced the ear tips which made for a proper seal. I will also replace the cable. It's never really blown, but I expect they'll get better with time. I have several pairs of professional IEMs that I only play live with as they are too expensive to lose. They will become my favorite music to listen to in my free time and they will also be a great backup in all my gig bags. Well done! Please mark this as helpful if you find it helpful.
