What started as a loose thread quickly became a 5 inch hole in the top of the cat pillow. For information: This cushion has been treated with great care and is only used as a decoration. It wasn't even used as a pillow. It has not been washed or roughly treated. The seam was already defective at the factory, which led to a catastrophic seam tear within a few weeks. Had it been treated or used as an actual toy or pillow, the explosion would have occurred within days. To make matters worse, I have a creeping feeling that the gray faux fur is actually starting to lose its color. I've seen this with some synthetic fabrics in the past. Even in low light, the fabric strangely fades. This pillow was at least 15 feet from a window so was definitely NOT in direct sunlight, and yet the gray color already looks like it has yellowed or turned drab. I want to emphasize again that it was just a decorative detail. And it hasn't been touched, dropped, slept on, etc., so there's no other explanation for bad stitching and fading. This is disappointing because the shape of the cat was very cute.
