I purchased this to help with my withdrawal from gabapentin. I'd read it could help. I believe it has. I had no withdrawal symptoms as I tapered down until this last dose. I would spray the oil every two hours-just one spray because I didn't want to overdo it because I read to go up slowly. It's now been about five weeks of tapering down. I now spray about three sprays at a time. About 2-3 times a day. It does make me a little sleepy. I've noticed a huge difference in my back pain after I spray it on my back. And when my fingers start to tingle I spray it on my hands-or legs and they stop tingling after a few minutes. It's pretty amazing. The only downside is I need to figure out a balance because I started getting dizzy from dehydration. I have read magnesium can cause dehydration. I am only taking about 200-300mg a day between the spray and electrolytes, so I don't feel like it's that much. Daily average is supposedly 300mg. I was having some stomach issues-I don't think they were related to magnesium, so I got dehydrated and I ended up in the ER and had to get sodium chloride pumped into me. I've been drinking more water the last few days and also drinking an electrolyte packet in water as well to help balance everything. Anyhow I definitely notice it helping with the tingling and pain and I can't wait to be completely OFF the gabapentin for good. I will update later when I'm completely off the med.Update: 2020 almost two years later. I use this spray whenever I have back aches or neck pain and it always helps relax muscles. Also aids in me falling asleep. Spray at night or you may drowsy. But I notice when I don’t use this now to sleep. Also nice to know I won’t be hospitalized for a deficiency again if I keep using this.
