This is actually her first semi vertical scraper as all the others are horizontal so I wasn't sure how she would react on the verticals but she accepted it the first day I set it up PROS: 1 ) Easy to assemble and the scraper comes with all the tools you need to assemble which makes it handy! 2) The wooden base looks really high quality and will last a long time. .3) You can choose between 3 positions: horizontal, semi-vertical and vertical. CONS: 1) The corrugated portion is mostly fine. It just seems to wear out quickly as it scratches a lot more than some of the other scratches I have around the house. 2) If you want to try another of the three positions above, you need to unscrew the wooden part. change the position of the board. Easy enough to make, but it's still not an automatic switch between positions, more of a do-it-yourself job of unscrewing, moving, and screwing it back to the wooden base. Given the 2 MINUS points above, would I buy it again? Yes I would. My cats use it every day and that's why I bought it. The wooden base looks very good, strong, and the scratching post is good too, it just wears out faster that's all. She seems to like this bar more than other scratchers, maybe she does.
