My hands are always cold and in winter weather (32 degrees and below) it is almost impossible for me to warm them up. My wife and I spent two weeks in Antarctica last December/January. We landed the Zodiac on the continent, which was always wet, and on the Zodiac we were exposed to the spray, although we had to hold on to the Zodiac's ropes. The gloves were constantly exposed to water, strong winds, biting frost, snow, and NEVER froze my hands even one iota. From what I understand these gloves are used by the US Coast Guard for cold weather - no wonder. One beautiful day in Antarctica we had to interrupt our Zodiac landings because the ocean around us was freezing - it's COLD! We had other concerns, but my gloves weren't one of them. These are BIG gloves - they keep your hands warm and you still have very good dexterity (not enough dexterity to take photos, but enough dexterity to grab ropes).
