I am growing earthworms in the freezer. In a dark freezer, worms can crawl out of bins. This light is mounted on the inside of the freezer and stays on all the time. Keeps worms in their containers and generates little to no heat. I use this instead of bypassing the switch to the freezer's own light as the freezer power is controlled by an external thermostat so the freezer light power is not always on. Easily attaches to the inside of the freezer with the screws provided. The light has a distinct bluish cast, but that doesn't bother the worms.
