My baby can't walk or stand yet, so I can't tell you if you can walk in it all day. They have a protector on the bottom but I wouldn't send my child to play in them. My little girl has very small feet and these were a bit big for her. They are very cute and I wore them on her a lot because they were soft and made her feel special.
