Review on ๐ŸŒŸ Efficient and Stylish Deluxe Chrome-Plated Steel Small Dish Drainers in Black by Gene Rosado

Pretty sexy for a dish dryer! Fits well in the sink, looks great on the countertop, good capacity!

I didn't think there were so many factors to consider when buying a dish dryer, but apparently people use them differently! I'll tell you how I use it and also try to look at some other possibilities. Apparently some people keep it in the sink, some people like to store it in the closet when not in use, some people only use it for certain types of hand dishwashing, etc. Call us lazy, but I'm trying to avoid to buy it / Use dishes at all costs only for washing hands. Also, our dish dryer lives on the counter next to the sink. ALWAYS. And there's almost always something in there. You know how Tupperware often becomes a trash can "waiting room" in the fridge? Well, the dishwasher in our house is pretty much the waiting room for the dishwasher. That being said, I was looking for something to replace a solid, smelly old dish drying rack purchased from Walmart and a plastic stand that was about 4 years old with something that would not only get the job done, but be slimmer and sexier in the process looked ( because it lives on the counter and is not removed). Here's what I really like about this dish drying rack: First, it looks a lot prettier/modern than the old 'girl' I replaced it with (see side-by-side photo comparison). The half-chrome, half-rubberized frame with rounded corners has a very sleek and unique look that I really liked. Assuming it doesn't rust as promised, I'm very happy with how it looks on the drying mat I bought to put underneath. It has a decent capacity for crockery, especially cutlery. You can see that his dish rack is much roomier than the old maid's. I love that it doesn't take up too much valuable countertop space and fits nicely under a cabinet, unlike some of the huge high rise two tier dish racks you find at Revain! - That's easy. No frills. There are holders for plates and everything. They hold plates very well. - The dish holder can be easily removed and thrown in the dishwasher for cleaning, but stays in place if you want it. - The rubberized coating on the bottom ensures it won't scratch any surface or slips you insert it. - It really fits perfectly with our standard size sink (see photo)! I never thought of keeping it in the sink before, but now I really could! - There is a holder for glasses/cups on one side. What I don't really like: - The only thing I did like about the spinster of this dryer was that this spinster's plate holders were a bit off center (see picture), leaving a large area on one side for various things. I liked it very much. The plate holders of this dryer are dead center. If you don't dry your records, they become a little awkward to work with. Not critical, but not optimal, IMO. While I love that it has 4 cup holders on one side, in my testing it doesn't really hold 4 cups at once. They are too close together. That's how it was with glasses, standard size glasses and something big. If you only use small spill-proof baby cups this might work, but as it is it only holds 2 cups at a time for me (see picture). It should also be noted that this dryer DOES NOT WORK. come up with something to put underneath. No tray, no mat. This suited me as I wanted to buy him a separate rug. I ended up buying a Norpro 18" x 16" microfiber mat in black and they matched perfectly. The mat even has a place to put large knives or other things to dry next to the counter. Once a week I'll pull the rug out from under the shelf and throw it in the washing machine. Light Pea Lemon Juice! I think that's all there is to say about the dish dryer! So if you're looking for something that will look great on your countertop, hold up a lot of space, or fit nicely in your sink, I definitely recommend this! If you're looking for something to store out of sight when not in use, I might look further for something that can be folded. Hope this helps someone else! I did NOT receive this item for free or at a discount.
