Review on ๐Ÿงฉ Enhance Toddler Sorting Skills with Learning Resources Sorting Surprise Picnic Baskets - A Fun Educational Toy with Fine Motor Skills Development, Preschool Learning, and 32 Pieces for Ages 3+ by Johnny Weber

A well-made desk sorting and counting toy.

We have many toys from Learning Resources. This one reminds me a lot of Peekaboo, which we also have. Sorting a surprise is very easy. Each picnic hamper is color coded and numbered. Each basket contains an item of the corresponding color. For example, there is orange ice cream in the orange basket. If you want to use this as a counting game, you'll have to improvise a little by putting all the mini items in a pile and having your child place the correct number of items in front of the basket. So five items won't fit in the blue basket, but you can put five items in front of the basket and talk about the items you bring to the picnic. There is also a small butterfly. You can put it in a basket and it could turn into a treasure hunt if your kid guesses which colored basket the butterfly is in! Remember that these toys are great for board games. They must not be thrown in the toy box. As a desk toy, they help with fine motor skills, sorting, counting, color recognition and language skills.
