For this kind of sweater I really wanted a loose fit but one that doesn't slip off my shoulders. As a plus sized woman that can be difficult to find. Those who wear plus sized clothes all know the drill - no consistency in sizing or a garment is simply made larger, but not really made for plus sized people. I think it was probably Project Runway, one of those fashion competition shows, where I heard one of designers explain that to create a plus sized garment, you didn't simply go up in size but you had to take into account how it translated on the body. Think about it - a size 8 woman, even if curvy, is going to be shaped differently than a size 18 woman.Anyhow, this got it right. It drapes the way I wanted this style to drape, looks like the picture, and is very comfortable.
