My cat is a shy weirdo who hates the sound of plastic until she starts playing with candy wrappers. I was a bit hesitant ordering this after seeing other reviews that it was a bit wrinkled. First I had to put it on so she would know it wasn't an obstacle or a don't sit here rug (she's a bit stupid and only has one eye, so her perception of things is very stupid at times). After that, however, she decided that this was her favorite place to sit! It's a long, fluffy texture that she loves to knead, and the creases are barely audible when she's kneading, not walking or anything. The texture is like an extra fluffy blanket. I only wore it for two days and she hardly left it. Now she is actively looking for him and no longer jumps up as soon as someone sits on the sofa. Despite this, she still sleeps on top of me at night - I think my torso still makes the perfect cat bed (I don't mind). I hope eventually to convince her to use it in the cat sized box I got for her so she has a private place where we don't kick her out but at the moment she's still scared of the sound, that the box does when it rustles. baby steps.
