I bought this case to reuse when traveling as the super thin case I bought mostly protects against scratches and offers little protection from bumps. Compared to my old iPad Air's Otterbox protection, it's much lighter and has a kickstand in the case body. I love that you can use it to charge your Apple Pencil while still offering protection and a well-designed storage space. Defects? It is definitely heavier and bulkier than other suitcase types. This is to be expected, however, since its purpose is a very strong (as in the case of Durability) and highly protective shell. What I personally don't like is the included screen protector. So I peeled off the plastic wrap, carefully and gradually removed the remaining adhesive and kept the tempered glass film I was using. It works REALLY well with a glass screen protector and offers extra protection that a pre-applied plastic film can't. It takes some work to remove the adhesive with a regular house key or other permanently tough tool, and using a separately purchased screen protector is more expensive than using the ones that come with it, but it's worth the money and effort.
