Review on Bracket Motion Articulating 400X400 Adapter by Michele Lewis

Everything ok - assembly leaves something to be desired

Got it to hang my TV in the bedroom. I have a space between the two doors of my closet that is about 7 feet wide with a center outlet and a cord outlet. So I figure out where I want to mount the bracket, measure it, and position the outlet high for the TV so I don't have to run the power cord up the wall. Well when I cut through the wall I found that the studs were a bit off center. This is a HUGE problem with this TV mount. It's barely wide enough to fit a 16-inch center-bolt mount - the locking bolts (which are included - nice!) meet the outside edges of the two widest mounting holes. This would mean putting the mount at a good angle. 9 inches or so, and place the 9 inch TV above the closet door, not in the middle of the wall. The only way to fix this is to get a board to support and attach the board to the wall studs and then the bracket to the board. If the mounting plate was only 4 inches wider on each side, that would be great. Once installed it works adequately and as advertised. However, if you are not very good with tools and carpentry, installation will be difficult.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
