Review on ๐Ÿงผ Gentle and Efficient Makeup Brush Cleaner: Anne's Giverny Solid Soap for Blending Brushes by Jennifer Lee

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

With all due respect to the other reviewers, this material made me want to bring out my inner Mugata; it's just soap - cheap motel soap to be exact! It was clear from the first breath, and now I can feel it on my fingers; yes - motel soap. Reading all these rave reviews about a round soap box in a cheap but admittedly cute plastic case that supposedly contained "makeup brushes and BALM CLEANING SPONGE," made me feel like I was popping crazy pills. Maybe all these people haven't stayed in a cheap motel because they like it - who knows. It works, but I'm not sure it works better than any other soap. Of course, it wasn't quicker or easier than anything else I've washed my brushes with. On a positive note, I also have EcoTools Brush Shampoo; it cleans at least as well and dries twice as fast. I will probably not order more as I was expecting a different product. Right on the pack it says 'balm' so I was expecting something, I don't know, a balm? I'll keep the case anyway. With a slatted base, it is suitable as a travel soap dish. I might even add some motel soap and keep using it as a brush cleaner. Maybe it's because I thought the makeup brush cleaner was something special. I've used shampoo and soap to clean my brushes up to this point, and I feel like I still do it with a "brush cleaner".
