Update: Both can now be thrown away. You still look clean. The fabric holds up well. I suspect ours were treated particularly harshly, although I'm not exactly sure what happened that ended up robbing them of their support. I suspect they would last longer if only used by adults, but I'm not sure how long. Replace them with Amazon's Rivet Ottoman Cube. They have at least a year guarantee. When we first received this product, it had a bad smell. It's a good idea to let it air out before putting things in. We use it for blankets. My kids sit on it and eat at our adjustable height SPACEMASTER coffee/dining table that we bought for our small space. I have also sat on them as dining chairs and they are quite comfortable. Children crawl on them and jump off them - they survived! They don't seem to be prone to staining. Even if they wear out within the next six months I would happily replace them because they are so affordable. They come with sticky pads to keep them in place as a stool which is great too. I took them off and replaced them with pads so they slide better and we can move them around our living space more easily. This reduces its use as an ottoman but what we need for our space. Universal product!
