Review on 3-Pack Chef's 1st Choice Microwave Food Storage Trays - Divided Plates with Lid and Vented Compartments by Sourn Debremarkos

I love these records!

I bought these microwave coated plates because my daughter has irregular work hours and doesn't eat at the same time as the rest of us. I was in the habit of using it to secure my plate, but then I had to either use plastic wrap (which doesn't seem to stick as well as it used to) or leave it open. She also has a habit of not finishing her food and putting it back in the fridge uncovered for later. I was looking for an elegant solution and these platters provide just that. Now I'll make her a plate or two of her afternoon meals and they'll sit neatly and covered in the fridge until she's ready to eat. And if she doesn't eat everything, the lid will be put back on! A few words about the lids: First, the lids fit well. Several reviews have stated that this is not the case. They're not airtight enough that I can throw a plate sideways in the air and expect nothing to go wrong, but they're definitely good for their intended purpose. However, I wouldn't be thrilled to take them out to lunch every day either. It's not exactly Tupperware or smooth paraphernalia. Second, reviewers raised concerns about the lid warping in the microwave. So take it off! You can't microwave a regular plate with a lid, so open that one up. The real benefit of a lid is that it covers food in the fridge, not in the microwave. I used these 4th of July picnic plates preloaded with food and yes I took them out of the house. Not only did it work, but my Mila liked it so much that she bought a set right away. It's far more convenient to spread out leftovers on plates and get ready than storing food in large serving containers for later. Do everything at once! Save your work later.

  • Storage and Organization
Cons
