CatGuru Horizontal Scratcher is great if it suits your pet's preferences. One of my cats is crazy about sisal and only uses scratching posts lined with sisal. Another likes the horizontal cardboard type. I bought two different cat trees to protect our sofa and carpet and they worked well. The CatGuru scraper is beautiful and looks great in our house. It also looks durable. We've had it for about a month now and only one cat has used it as a real scratching post and it still looks the same. I give 4 stars (not 5) because I found the size XL a bit small. My cat is 7 pounds and he looks big on him. When he stretches the a over it to scratch, he always ends up scratching one of the ends. In general this is a good product.
