Review on JULLISON Junction Recessed Light with CRI80 Certification by Mark Greenwood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product! I will buy it again.

I've never installed recessed lighting, but I've done electrical work so I know what I'm getting into. as opposed to point light. Ideal for the bedroom or the kitchen. The template supplied with the kit is absolutely correct and requires no additional cutting. I used an adjustable drywall circular saw to cut the ceiling but used a jig to adjust the blades. They turned out amazing and I love how they look and how bright they are. The light also works with some dimmers. I bought a Leviton dimmer from Homedepot and it works great. No flicker. I plan to buy extra headlights and have them as spares in case they fail over time. They seem well built and stable so far, but who knows what will happen in a few years. One piece of advice I can give you is to get (2 per lamp) 3/8" plastic plugs. You will need them for your metal box when running Romex in and out. The box is very thin sheet metal. If If you don't use plugs they will cut the wire and may short out the 120v wire. You don't want this happening to your ceiling.Anyway these forks were a nightmare but worth it.A short circuit in one Wiring in the ceiling can easily cause a fire so take all possible precautions. In addition, these plugs allow you to carry out electrical work in accordance with electrical standards.Again I'm not an electrician but I'm an engineer and I know what I'm doing .Please check with your local electrician to be sure. But better safe than sorry.I would like the lights to come with these plugs. These forks don't cost anything in China. This too may not be part of the electrical code elsewhere, but it is here in the US. It would have saved me a trip to Homedepot when I was in the middle of a project. I chose a color temperature of 3000K because it looks most like an incandescent bulb. I think this is the warmest type of light to use in the home. If you need it for office, you can choose 5000K. Instead, you get bluish light. Otherwise I would give this product 6 stars if I could.
