Terrible buttons, great massage

Good: Massage works very well. While it doesn't look like the massage therapist is working on your hand and wrist, the pressure they apply and the kneading motions they make definitely provide relief. If you're looking for heavy palm/upper arm and wrist pressure, this machine is great. Even at the lowest level, the pressure is intense, to say the least. It does a great job of alternating different areas of your hand and wrist to feel really great. I've been treating a sprained wrist for a few months and it has really helped relieve some of the pain and improve flexibility in my wrist. The heating is sufficient, not too hot and clearly noticeable. Fairly quiet and holds a charge well. Decent build quality (apart from the buttons, see below). Cons: The mode and power buttons barely work. Unlike the power or heat buttons, the mode and strength buttons only respond to the greatest amount of force you can muster, and even then they work about 10% of the time. Switching modes always takes a good 2-3 minutes of frustrated attempts. The same with the power button. The two times I was able to get the power switch to low was VERY hard pressing. It seemed to me that he was about to crush my hand. The timer icon and instructions make you think it's a button, but it's not. It simply gives blocks of time of 5, 10 and 15 minutes. You have to stop it yourself if you want to use it for less than 15 minutes. No problem, but it would be nice if the instructions were better in this regard. Overall, I'm sending it back because of an issue with the mode button. I could live with the power button not working as it starts in low mode and I don't want it to be higher. The last mode (Relax) worked best for my wrist, but it took me a long time trying to get it into this mode, skipping a few minutes of this therapeutic setting every time I used the device.
