Went kayaking for the weekend and this shirt was great. I have fair skin and usually struggle with sunscreen all the time which results in amazing patchy sunburns. In this shirt I was in direct sunlight for about 7 hours and didn't get the slightest trace of sunburn. And when you hit the water, this shirt is great at keeping moisture close to your skin, keeping you cool. Regarding size: I'm small and in relatively good shape. 5ft 10in, 160lbs, 30in waist, 40in chest and I originally ordered medium and it was too tight. I ran into the big one and it's still tight but not ridiculous. I would suggest measuring your waist and chest and comparing to the size charts. Depending on which fits the larger size, increase it by 1. For example, my waist size fits too small and my bust size fits honey, and I actually went for the large.
