My family loves karaoke and I thought they might work. The microphones look very nice and seem to be very well made. They connected instantly and were clean. But, and this is a big BUT (I like big buts :-), they are not sensitive enough to pick up your voice. In order to actually pick up the voice, your lips must be close enough to touch the microphone and you must speak/sing directly into the top of the microphone. Even at a half inch distance, the microphone will NOT pick up your voice. I gave it 2 stars because apart from the very poor grip sensitivity they seem to work. If you're willing to get close to the mics, they really work.
