Review on 🔌 Cable Matters 3 ft USB 3.0 Extension Cable in Blue - Ideal for Webcam, VR Headset, Printer, Hard Drive and More by Andy Baudoin

I bought a 6 foot 200008-BLACK-6 extension cable to move the USB 3.0 port for my Windows Mixed Reality headset from the back of my computer to the front, but I'm on the one Fixed issue where the WMR headset would turn off suddenly. when wearing. The current required for a WMR headset is 0.9 amps. I ran some voltage tests with a battery capable of drawing up to 1 amp directly from the back of the motherboard, a powered USB hub, and the original Galaxy S5 charger. The results with the extension cord showed a constant voltage drop when connecting a load with an average voltage drop of about 0.23. I contacted Cable Matters about this and they ran a test in their lab using the same extension cord model and got much better results. We agreed that the extension cord I had on hand should be returned. Seeing other reviews of this extension cable, I'm not the only one who has noticed a large voltage drop which may not work well with other devices such as a USB 3.0 portable hard drive.
