Like: - DC motor. I intend never to buy a device without it. They are quiet, powerful and consume significantly less electricity. The Energy Star rating shows electricity at $4 per year. The device is well constructed and relatively easy to install. Plan at least an hour. And having two people really helps. If your ceiling isn't designed for a fan, preparation is a big part of the installation. If you are unsure as a DIYer or simply want to replace another ceiling fan, you can hire a professional. Six speeds, easy color choice. We use 4000K lighting throughout the house and can set it to 4000K. - The light is bright enough. - 1H, 2H, 4H and 8H timer buttons. I hope they work. The specified distance from the ceiling to the bottom of the lamp is incorrect. Try 14” instead of the advertised 9.4” with a short extension. The color temperature of the light of 8000 degrees K is also wrong. I think they just added 3000K + 5000K to get 8000K but they don't. The third setting, 'full light' (which appears to be the same brightness) matches our other 4000K lights. The proudly displayed label of the company did not meet my taste. Luckily it is only glued on and can be removed. - The 1H, 2H, 4H and 8H timer buttons, while a nice feature, give no indication that they are set to any timer other than beeping on the first press. - Using the controller is a bit of a guessing game (or maybe the instructions will tell you how to do what). I used the installation instructions but assumed the controller should be easy enough to understand without reading the manual. Yes, despite all the hardships, I still gave it 5 stars. I like the fan very much and can learn to live with my weaknesses.
