I bought a pair of Sony WF-1000XM3 noise canceling headphones a while ago and I think I should start by saying that I work in radio and was a HUGE fan and am Sony products. Their headphones (MDR-7506) are the industry standard for the broadcast and recording industries. You will see them EVERYWHERE in the industry. Some people choose other brands, some are incredibly expensive, some just for their name and a few other reasons, but they remain the standard for a reason. Your headphones are fantastic too. However, that's not the experience I've had with the aforementioned 1000XM3 headphones (unlike the similarly named headphones, which are truly phenomenal). Noise-cancellation was poor - at best. Such a disappointment, especially for what I paid for it. Also, I could never get the right earbud to stay in place. How ever. It was so loose no matter what earbud I put in it could loosen and fall out if I just sat around doing NOTHING. The left pad seemed to work fine, but not the right pad and to be honest I have no explanation for it. I have had many different Sony headphones and have never had this problem. A pair of properly positioned wingtips could and probably would solve this problem, but as far as I know Sony doesn't make them and I haven't been able to find a pair of non-original versions sold by another company that would fit Sony. But memory foam tips? Ahhh, I thought I found the holy grail to finally enjoy my headphones. Again. I never found her as much of a memory as I expected. Years ago I had a pair of wireless headphones that I bought with fantastic memory tips. Since then I've lost it and can't find it right away. I used to curl the tip in my fingers to make it thinner and then quickly put them in my ears and the memory foam slowly expanded giving me a good seal. They would expand so fast that no matter how fast I acted, it wouldn't be enough. No matter what I did, I never got a decent seal around my ear canal, and so the earbuds themselves never fitted properly and therefore didn't stay in place. Again I ran into the earbuds falling out of my ear and I literally did nothing. I can't stress enough that I would just sit there and do nothing and they would still fall out for 30 seconds, if not less. I've shaken them, moved them, tried to "screw" them in my ear, pretty much every scenario you can think of, to no avail. However, the left one seemed fine, but it never delivered the tightness I expected from memory foam. I tried a few different sizes to make sure it wasn't just the size I originally tried with the same results. Your experience may differ from mine, but as I have noted in other reviews, no matter how well they work for other people, I can only write a review based on my personal experience. and mine was not in the least positive. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.
