A nylon mesh is attached to the end of a rigid plastic rod; The arm is a bit short but it is functional. The mesh ball is closer to one side of the wand than the other, so you need to align the brush properly to make effective contact with the toilet. It seems cheap but at this price you can buy several and throw one away if it gets dirty or breaks. What I like about it is the close contact of the mesh with the surface being cleaned - much better than the stiff bristles of traditional toilet brushes. I bought a couple of these after installing new toilets and I will never go back to the old brush. In fact, I bought extra and use them to clean my bathtub.
